
Dr. Peter Breslin
Dr. Peter Breslin is a native of Virginia. He completed his Psychiatry training at Virginia Commonwealth University. Despite being raised in Northern Virginia, he really appreciates all that Richmond has to offer. He is enjoying living near the river, as it allows for the convenience of being able to go hiking/jogging on the scenic trails. A favorite pass-time of Dr.Breslin is to spend time on the rocks along the James River with his dog.

Erin Mayberry
As a woman in long term recovery from substance use disorder, it gives Erin great joy to help others on their personal pathway to recovery. Formerly, she was a jail programs facilitator and Director of Female Programs with the McShin Foundation. Prior to working in the recovery community, Erin worked in the dental field for 13 years, specifically as an orthodontic technician and certified oral and maxillofacial surgical technician.
Erin is alumna of Mary Baldwin University, double majoring in International Relations and Asian Studies and was a cadet in the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership. She loves learning and finds it amusing how “we just never know exactly where life is going to take us!”
In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her daughters, playing with her dog, reading and watching scary movies with her fiancé.

Alden Conner, LPC
Alden is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with clients ages 12 and up, with a particular focus on adolescents and young adults. She specializes in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, complex family dynamics, identity exploration, and major life transitions. Alden takes an authentic and direct approach to therapy, fostering a collaborative environment where clients feel empowered and understood throughout the therapeutic process. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Miami University of Ohio and a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Anna Hembrick, Nurse Practitioner
Anna is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed in Virginia. She began working with Dr. Breslin in 2017.
Anna truly has a passion for helping patients achieve physical and mental wellness. She attributes her love for caregiving to helping care for her grandfather when she was young and coming from a family of nurses. Anna enjoys working in private practice where she can establish long term relationships with patients, and brings with her years of experience working with diverse populations.
Anna is an active member of several professional organizations including Sigma Theta Tau – the International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners Virginia, and the Council of Nurse Practitioners.
Anna enjoys reading, Netflix bingeing, and spending time with her family, friends and two mischievous Boxers.

Donna Hayden, PMHNP
Donna is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of experience as an RN prior to receiving her MSN at the University of Virginia. She has experience with and enjoys working with a wide variety of psychiatric diagnoses including: Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Addiction. Donna is a warm engaging provider who believes each person is a holistic being.

Holly Pippen
Holly is part of the front desk patient care team and is often one of the first friendly faces patients see when they arrive. With an Associate’s Degree in Medical Billing and Coding, she’s the go-to person for billing questions and insurance concerns.
Holly values teamwork and enjoys building genuine connections with patients, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who visits the practice as they begin or continue their journey toward recovery and mental wellness. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, their three children, and their dog. She especially enjoys fishing and spending time near the water.

Michael Roberson, R-CPRS
Michael is a Virginia native and is a person in long-term recovery from substance use disorder.
His experience as a person in recovery inspired him to work with others on their recovery
journey. He is currently a college student pursuing a nursing degree and hopes to become a
Psych and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In his spare time, Michael enjoys shopping with
friends, hosting dinners, and antiquing.

Klay Porter, R-PRS
Klay is a Magohick, Virginia native and a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist at Verity Psychiatry. He previously worked at The McShin Foundation from 2022–2025, where he served in multiple roles including volunteer, intern, Men’s Program Manager, and Medication and Urinalysis Manager. During his time there, he supported recovery housing operations and programs serving up to 150 residents, working closely with peer leaders to maintain structured, peer-driven recovery environments.
As a person in recovery himself, he is passionate about helping individuals find what works best for them and advocates for multiple pathways of recovery, harm reduction, and living safe, meaningful lives. Prior to entering the recovery field, he worked in the banking industry with Capital One and Bank of America. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, drinking good coffee, working on art projects, and listening to rock music.

Christine Trotta, LCSW
Christine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating trauma, substance use and recovery, depression, anxiety, relationships, life transitions, identity, and self-esteem. She uses humor, authenticity, and compassion to create a space for individuals to feel safe and empowered on their journey toward healing and values the positive impact that intentional active listening can have on a person. She earned a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master’s of Science in Social Work from Columbia University. She utilizes a trauma-informed and person-centered approach while integrating a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities and is EMDR-trained.

Beth-Ann Sheehan, Verity Counseling Group Administrative Coordinator
Beth-Ann is a new member of the Verity Counseling Group team and is excited to have landed where she “is meant to be.”Life has a way of showing up and therapy is a safe and confidential place to sort things out.”Beth-Ann believes therapy is for everyone and that exploring your thoughts and feelings is one way to live your best, most authentic life. Diana Del Cid, Resident in Counseling
Diana is a Resident in Counseling who works with individuals, couples, and children. She supports clients navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions, with a focus on understanding patterns in relationships and sense of self. Diana has extensive experience working with underserved and Spanish-speaking communities, offering culturally responsive care and supporting clients within bilingual and multicultural environments. She brings a warm, collaborative approach to therapy, creating a space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and building healthier ways of connecting. Fluent in Spanish, she offers therapy in both English and Spanish. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary.

Holly Bly, Counseling Intern
Holly is a student getting her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Longwood University. She has always dreamed of helping others via this profession from a young age. Counseling and helping are her passion and purpose, and she would love to serve your needs.
Holly works with clients who may be struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders or substance use disorders. She also works with clients who are going through life transitions & stress. During initial sessions, you both will dive into the daily issues that are affecting quality of life, and then collaborate on goals for treatment. You will gain more self-trust and mental clarity throughout this process.
